WHO:
Atlanta based Homestead Studios Suites Hotels® is a leading owner and
operator of moderately priced, extended stay lodging facilities.
Homestead properties are purpose-built, especially for the extended
stay traveler, so guests can get all of the essentials for an extended
stay at an affordable price.
WHY:
According to several independent research companies there is a significant
and growing trend in extended stay travel. Nevertheless, due to a limited
supply of purpose-built extended stay hotels and lack of consumer awareness
of the product concept, a large portion of this demand is being met by
traditional hotels that are not designed appropriately to serve their needs.
WHEN:
To help satisfy the growing need for extended stay lodging, in 1992
Homestead began providing its "purpose-built" lodging product.
WHERE:
Homestead Studios Suites Hotels currently operates 112 hotels in 28
states in suburban markets of major U.S. cities. More than 70 percent
of these properties have been built since 1997.
FEATURES:
Homestead has conducted extensive consumer research to ensure product designs
meet the needs of the extended stay guests. All rooms include a workspace with
adjustable lighting and computer dataport, comfortable easy chair or sofa, an
iron and ironing board, fully equipped kitchen complete with a full-size refrigerator,
microwave, coffee maker, toaster and stovetop.
GUEST SERVICES:
Homestead properties offer an array of business services including fax (incoming
domestic faxes are complimentary) and copy service. Each room is complete with a
computer dataport. Free local telephone calls and voice mail. All mail,
overnight packages and faxes are delivered to guests' rooms at the end of each
business day.
Most locations also offer personal services such as dry cleaning, and all have on-site 24-hour guest laundry, safety deposit boxes and a vending area or Guest Pantry for convenience items and snack foods.

TYPICAL GUEST:
Homestead guests travel for training, temporary business assignments or
relocation. Many are employed in fields prone to extended stay travel –
including technology, telecommunications and consulting.
SITE SELECTION:
Homestead sites are located near business centers, retail support and
entertainment areas to insure convenience for guests.
